Yes, that is an internal aerial. So far I haven't heard a single thing that suggests we would have less crappy coverage if we installed an external aerial - we would just be swapping an inefficient aerial we can move at our leisure for one we couldn't easily adjust ourselves. So I don't see the point in forking out good money to ruin the aesthetic line of the roof.
